Cheryl Moss Herman has over 20 years experience in public policy issues affecting the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle. Ms. Moss Herman began a consulting relationship with The Ux Consulting Company, LLC (UxC) in June 2001, and joined the company in March 2003 as Vice President, Policy Analysis. From 1990 to 2000, Ms. Moss Herman was with the Washington-based nuclear energy trade associations as Director, Nuclear Fuel and International Commerce at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and as Director, Nuclear Fuel Cycle at the U.S. Council for Energy Awareness. Her responsibilities included managing all fuel-related programs, including numerous industry task forces, committees and forums, as well as the implementation of over 40 international conferences on nuclear fuel issues. In addition, she established and managed an industry coalition that ensured industry representation in international policymaking forums, including the extension of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the congressional approval of the US-EURATOM Agreement. Previously, Ms. Moss Herman served as a Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. She was responsible for policy and legislation related to nuclear fuel, clean coal technology, fuel cells and other energy sources. Prior to joining the Senate Committee in 1987, Ms. Moss Herman was with the U.S. Department of Energy as an analyst with the Office of Policy, Planning and Analysis, and as a budget analyst in the Office of the Controller. While at the Department of Energy, she participated in the Presidential Management (PMI) Program. Throughout her career, Ms. Moss Herman has spoken at a variety of international industry conferences. Ms. Moss Herman holds a B.A. degree in economics and a Master of Science degree in public policy analysis, both from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. |
