Maria Katsva
Maria Katsva is Director, International Projects at The Ux Consulting Company, LLC (UxC). Ms. Katsva has over a decade of experience in policy and regulatory analysis relevant to nuclear nonproliferation, nuclear energy, and the Former Soviet Union (FSU). She has prepared reports, case studies, surveys, and presentations; presented at multiple national and international conferences and seminars; and participated in numerous meetings with U.S., Russian and European participants. In her most recent position at Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., Ms. Katsva participated in a number of projects supporting U.S.-Russian nonproliferation cooperation, including a regulatory development project to provide analysis of regulations affecting Russia’s nuclear industry and security as well as an overview of management and regulatory authorities of Russian nuclear industry. She has acquired significant expertise in nonproliferation, international politics, redirection of the former weapons scientists to civilian industry activities, and commercialization of the nuclear industry through her consulting work for the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, Center for International Trade and Security at the University of Georgia, Landau Network Centro Volta in Como, Italy, PIR Center for Policy Studies in Russia, and the Center for Nonproliferation Studies at Monterey Institute for International Studies.

Ms. Katsva holds a BA degree in Journalism from Moscow State University, a Masters of Arts in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Georgia, and completed course work for a Ph.D. from Moscow State University of International Relations. She is a winner of several prestigious fellowships and an author of over 40 publications.
