Dr. Marty Morman

Dr. Martin Morman is an Associate Professor of Management at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Marty teaches business policy and is an expert researcher with a broad range of experience working as a consultant with global companies and public organizations formulating and evaluating statistical models in the areas of finance, risk, economics, marketing, and environment. He has taught courses in economics, statistics, operations, and strategic management at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Marty started as Associate Professor in 1990 where he has taught undergraduate courses in Management Information Systems, Quantitative Methods, Production and Operations Management, Statistics, and Business Policy (using SAS and SPSS in classes).

During the 1980's Marty worked for Equifax, Inc. in two positions: Assistant Vice President-Planning where he developed monitored and evaluated recommendations for The Corporate Office and evaluated strategies at the corporate and divisional level. and initialy as Director of Research where he directed professional staff in the design and implementation of special studies on forecasting, territorial and marketing analysis, pricing, new ventures, informational and technology strategies. From 1977 to 1980, Marty was Marketing Analyst at Georgia Power Company where he directed the design and development of databases (commercial and industrial customers) and coordinated the use of information technology in the strategic planning process. Performed system design, programming, and statistical and economic model estimation of the company's revenue forecasting and financial planning models.

Dr. Morman has a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, with a concentration in econometrics, Georgia State University, 1988, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics, minor in Decision Sciences, Georgia State University, 1975.
