Atucha I Nuclear Power Station Site in Spanish only. Atucha, first nuclear power plant in Latin America, is on the right shore of the Parana River of the Palms, near the locality of Lima and to little more than 100 km of the federal capital. Atucha I (operating) is a 357 MWe PHWR.

Australia
Adelaide Resources Limited (ADN) Adelaide Resources Limited is a South Australian based minerals exploration company which was floated in late 1996. Its principal assets are copper and gold projects within extensive tenements on the Gawler Craton of South Australia and at Rover in the Northern Territory. Bannerman Resources Ltd. Bannerman Resources Limited recently to announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the majority rights to a mjajor uranium exploration portfolio situated inthe Southern African nation of Namibia.
Berkeley Resources Ltd. Berkeley Resources has agreed to acquire six advanced uranium exploration projects in Spain. In relation to the Spanish uranium exploration projects, the joint venture company, Minera de Rio Alagon SL, is focused on completing the title application process, data acquisition and an initial exploration program aimed at defining JORC compliant resources.
BHP Billiton BHP Billiton is the world's largest diversified resources company. In 2005, BHP entered the uranium market with the purchase of WMC. WMC was a significant global copper and uranium producer with an integrated operation at Olympic Dam producing high-quality refined copper. Uranium oxide, refined gold and silver are co-products. Olympic Dam is the eighth largest copper and the largest uranium ore body in the world.

Belgonucleaire [English] Belgonucleaire designs and supplies systems for the treatment and conditioning of nuclear waste. It has designed and constructed its own MOX fuel plant. Comissao Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN) Site in Portuguese only. The National Commission of Nuclear Energy (CNEN) is a federal agency tied with the Ministry of Science and Technology. It establishes norms and regulations in radioactivity and nuclear security, it permits, it fiscalizes and it controls the nuclear activity in Brazil. The CNEN acts in the industrial sector through its burst: Nuclear industries of Brasil s.a. - INB (nuclear fuel cycle), and Nuclebrás Equipamentos Pesados S.A - NUCLEP (nuclear plant equipment).
Canada
Alberta Star Development Corp. Alberta Star Development Corp. is a Canadian resource exploration and development company that identifies, acquires and finances oil and natural gas assets in Western Canada and advanced stage mineral exploration projects in North America. The company holds the Eldorado & Contact Lake uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin, although the company is currently not actively exploring these properties.
Aldershot Resources Ltd. Aldershot Resources Ltd (trading symbol "ALZ" on TSX Venture Exchange) is a Canadian based diversified exploration company with prospective Uranium, Gold, Copper and Nickel properties. Uranium projects are currenlty located in Australia and Zambia.
Altius Minerals Corp. Altius Minerals Corporation is a well-structured junior exploration company that is based in Newfoundland and Labrador. Altius has a royalty interest in the Voisey's Bay Ni-Cu-Co deposit in Labrador, Canada, from which first production is expected next year. Altius also has exposure to gold, base metals, and uranium through a focused exploration portfolio that is largely funded by senior joint venture partners.

AREVA Resources Canada Inc. AREVA Resources Canada Inc., with headquarters in Saskatoon, is one of the world’s largest producers of uranium. The company operates mining and milling facilities at Cluff Lake in northern Saskatchewan. Aurora Energy Resources Inc. Aurora Energy Resources uranium had assets in the historic uranium district of the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador, which included five historic uranium deposits, the largest of these being the Michelin deposit. Cameco Fuel Manufacturing Inc. (CFM) Formerly Zircatec Precision Industries Inc., Cameco Fuel Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cameco, is one of two nuclear fuel manufacturers in Canada. With a capacity to produce 1,200 tonnes of uranium annually as finished fuel, the company operates a licensed fuel manufacturing facility at Port Hope and a specialty metal fabrication plant at Cobourg ten kilometers away. Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) [English] Formerly the Atomic Energy Control Board (AECB), CNSC regulates the use of nuclear energy and materials in Canada.
Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) The CNS exchanges information in the field of applied nuclear science and technology, which encompasses all aspects of nuclear energy, uranium, fission and other nuclear technologies.

Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corp. Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corp. (CXX.V) is an aggressive Canadian resource company with significant uranium, base metal, and gold properties in Labrador and Newfoundland, Canada and an advanced gold project in China. China
China Huaneng Group [English] China Huaneng Group is a state-owned company established with the approval of the State Council in 1985. The company is mainly engaged in the following business: development, investment, construction, operation and management of power sources; production and sale of power and heat; development, investment, construction, production, and sale of businesses and products related to finance, energy transportation, renewable energy, and environmental protection; industrial investment, operation and management.
China Light & Power Company, Ltd. Originally incorporated in Hong Kong in 1901 as China Light & Power Syndicate, CLP Holdings is now among the most widely-held and actively-traded stocks listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. With core business in Hong Kong, the Group, through its subsidiaries, also develops and operates power business in Mainland China and several other Asian countries. China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) Site in Chinese only. [Some English] The China National Nuclear Corporation is a state-owned conglomerate with sole proprietorship established upon approval of the State Council in July 1, 1999. The CNNC grew out of the former China National Nuclear Corporation (the successor of the former Ministry of Nuclear Industry whose predecessor was the former Second Ministry of Machine-Building Industry).
China Nuclear Energy Industry Corp. (CNEIC) [English] CNEIC was established in early 1980, authorized by the state to be specialized in export and import of uranium products, techniques of nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear power techniques and equipment as well as other general goods. In the communication of international trade, the corporation is celebrated for its honoring of commitments and performance of obligations. CNEIC has been active in major projects known to nuclear sectors both at home and abroad, including supply of nuclear fuels to support the operation of NPPs in Europe, America and Japan; import of key equipment for the Qinshan NPP Phase-I and II Projects--the first NPP project in the mainland; acting as an agent of foreign trade in turnkey engineering for importing HWR NPP from Canada and Tiawan NPP from Russia; transfer of technology and supply of fuel assemblies for the export of the first NPP from China; export of heavy water for NPP in Korea; and supply of research reactors to developing countries under the IAEA Technical Assistance Program, etc.
Czech Republic
Czech Nuclar Society (CNS) Site in Russian only.
Czech Power Company CEZ, a.s. (CEZ) [English] The joint-stock company CEZ is a Czech electricity company. It was founded on May 6, 1992, by the National Property fund of the Czech Republic as one of the new entities formed after the breakup of the former state-owned Czech Power Works. CEZ operates the Dukovany NPP and is constructing the Temelin NPP.
France
AREVA Originated by the merger of all CEA-Industrie, COGEMA, FRAMATOME ANP and FCI operations, the AREVA group supplies solutions for power generation. In the nuclear sector, AREVA provides services for every aspect of power generation from uranium mining to decommissioning.
AREVA La Hague AREVA's La Hague site provides the first stage in the recycling of used fuel taken from nuclear reactors. It is located 25 kilometers west of Cherbourg (Manche region). It employs over 6000 people, and is the leading industrial center of its kind in the world.
Germany
Advanced Nuclear Fuels, GmbH (ANF) Site in German only. [Some English] Advanced Nuclear Fuels GmbH (ANF) is a wholly owned subsidiary of AREVA NP. It is headquartered in Lingen, Germany, and has plants in Duisburg and Charles Stein.
Biblis Power Station Site in German only. Biblis Nuclear Power Station is located in Biblis, Hessen. Biblis has two units, Block A, a 1,225 MWe PWR, and Block B, a 1,300 MWe PWR.
Hungary
Atomic Energy Research Institute (AEKI) AEKI is a research institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences mainly active in the field of basic and applied research related to nuclear energy. Their main research areas are reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, fuel behavior studies, material sciences, related aspects of informatics (simulators, core monitoring, etc), health physics, environmental investigations, nuclear electronics, and chemistry.
Budapest University – Institute of Nuclear Techniques [English] The Institute of Nuclear Techniques (INT) of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The Institute constitutes of two units: the Department of Nuclear Techniques organizes the educational tasks of the Institute, whereas the Training Reactor Laboratory operates the Nuclear Training Reactor. However, every member of the academic staff of the Institute has his/her own tasks as well in the education and training as in the reactor operation.
India

Japan
Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) [English] The Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) was founded in 1951 to serve as the comprehensive central research institution for the electric power industry.
Chubu Electric Power Company (Chubu EPCo) [English] Established in 1951, Chubu EPCo supplies electricity to five prefectures in the Chubu region at the center of Japan. It is the third largest electric company in Japan, supplying 13% of the country's total population. Chubu EPCo owns and operates Hamoaka Generating Station, Unit 1 (515 MWe BWR), Unit 2 (806 MWe BWR), Unit 3 (1,056 MWe BWR), Unit 4 (1,092 MWe BWR) and is constructing Unit 5 (1,325 MWe BWR).
Chugoku Electric Power Company [English] The Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc., was established in 1951 as one of ten electric power companies in Japan. It supplies electricity to the Chugoku region of western Japan through an integrated structure that encompasses all stages of power supply, from generation through transmission and distribution. Chugoku operates the Shimane Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.
Mexico
Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) Site in Spanish only. CFE generates, transmits, distributes and commercializes electrical energy for 18,68 million clients, which represents almost 80 million of Mexican. CFE operates Laguna Verde Units 1 and 2.
Netherlands
Borssele Nuclear Power Plant Site in Dutch only. Operated by EPZ, the Brossele nuclear power station is located in the Netherlands and is a 452 MWe PWR.

Romania
Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant Site in Romanian only. Operated by Centrala Nuclearo-Electrica (CNE) the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant has one operating 655 MWe CANDU unit with four other 620 MWe units planned. Unit 2 is under construction.
Russia
Atomenergoproekt, Research, Design and Exploration Institute, Joint Stock Company Site in Russian only. Established in 1982, Atomenergoproekt Moscow is an engineering company, general designer of nuclear power plants. It carries out full package of works on design, construction and upgrading of nuclear power plants, including works on selection of the construction site, design of the project, field supervision of the nuclear power plant construction, and technical support of its operation; start-up works at nuclear power plants with various types of reactors; supplies of equipment and materials; construction and assembly works.
Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ) [English] ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (ARMZ or Atomredmetzoloto) is one of the leaders in the world uranium mining industry. It is among top five uranium mining companies by uranium output and ranks second by reserves (546,000 tons as of January 1, 2009). ARMZ is the primary supplier of uranium feedstock to the Russian nuclear industry. In 2009 it produced 4,624 tons of uranium in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant Site in Russian only. Balakovo is a four unit VVER 950 plant.
South Africa
AngloGold Ashanti AngloGold Ashanti owns and operates Vaal River, a by-product uranium mine.
Chamber of Mines of South Africa The Chamber of Mines of South Africa is a prominent mining industry employers' organization which exists to serve its members and promote their interests in the South African mining industry.
Spain
Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant [English] The Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant is composed of two pressurized light-water reactors, each of which has three cooling loops. The Spanish contribution to reactor manufacture and construction was greater than 80 percent. Both Units use slightly enriched uranium oxide as fuel, and their electric power is 973.5 MW and 982.6 MW, respectively. The Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant is 53% owned by Iberdrola, 36% by Endesa, and 11% by Unión Fenosa.

Sweden
Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant [English] Barsebäck is situated in the south of Sweden 19 km from Copenhagen. The plant has two BWR-units, with a capacity of 615 MW each. They were commissioned in 1975 and 1977. Barsebäck 1 was closed on November 30, 1999, due to a political decision. Barsebäck 2 produces 3,5 - 4,5 TWh per year. Barsebäck Kraft AB is the operator and a wholly owned subsidiary company of Ringhals AB since July 31, 2000.
Switzerland
Beznau Nuclear Power Plant (KKB) Site in German only. [Some English] Beznau is Switzerland's first nuclear power station, and is operated by NOK. There are two units, both of which are 365 MWe PWRs.
BKW FMB Energie AG Site in German and French only. [Some English] BKW FMB owns and operates the Mühleberg nuclear power station.
Taiwan
Atomic Energy Council [English] The Atomic Energy Council (AEC) was founded in 1955 at the ministerial level under the Executive Yuan. Tasks include safety regulation, radiation protection, radwaste administration, and R&D for technical developments and civilian nuclear applications.

United Kingdom
British Energy (BE) BE is the UK’s biggest producer of electricity and together provides power to a quarter of the country’s population. With a current installed capacity of around 16.5GW, it supplies gas and electricity to over 5.5 million business and residential customers from our nuclear, coal and gas power stations, as well as combined heat and power plants and wind farms. British Energy delisted from the London Stock Exchange in 2009 and is now part of EDF Energy. The combination of EDF Energy and British Energy forms one of the UK’s largest energy companies.
Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (RWMAC) The Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) is a group of independent experts appointed by government. Created in 2003, CoRWM provides independent scrutiny and advice to the UK governments on the long term management of higher activity radioactive wastes.

Agency for Nuclear Projects Nuclear Waste Project Office (NWPO) This state of Nevada agency oversees the federal high-level radioactive waste disposal program; carries out independent technical, socioeconomic and other studies; works closely with state agencies and local governments on matters relating to radioactive waste; and provides information to the governor, legislature, and any interested parties.
Alabama Power Alabama Power, a subsidiary of the Southern Company, owns the Joseph M. Farly Nuclear Electric Generating Plant. This plant has two 860 MWe PWRs.
Alliant Energy Alliant Energy once owned portions of the Duane Arnold and Kewaunee nuclear power plants.
Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (AEHI) AEHI is an alternate energy and generating company focused on the purchase, optimization, and construction of green energy sources – primarily nuclear power plants. AEHI announced a Letter of Intent to construct new nuclear plant in Idaho.
Amer Industrial Technologies, Inc. (AIT) Amer Industrial Technologies (AIT) designs, engineers, manufactures and tests nuclear/non-nuclear heat exchangers, heavy walled vessels, tanks, filters, dampeners, orifices, venturis, coolers and provides nuclear upgraded items.
AmerenUE Formerly Union Electric, AmerenUE is Missouri's largest electric utility. AmerenUE owns and operates the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant (1,143 MWe).
American Council on Global Nuclear Competitiveness Formed in 2005, the American Council on Global Nuclear Competitiveness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks the return of American nuclear leadership to the world through the emergence of an U.S.-led global nuclear enterprise. The Council educates key audiences on the policies and technologies of an American nuclear renaissance and summons public and private sector leadership to organize and promote such a transformation.
American Electric Power (AEP) AEP owns and operates the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 located in Bridgman, Missouri. Cook generated its 100-billionth kilowatthour in 1984, reaching that milestone in less time than any other such plant. Its Unit 1 reached that milestone in 1991.
American Fuel Resources, LLC (AFR) American Fuel Resources, LLC (AFR) was formed in June 2001 to provide specialized marketing/transactional support to utilities, vendors, and investors within the commercial nuclear fuel industry. Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) B&W has designed and manufactured nuclear power equipment for more than 40 years, providing nuclear heat exchangers, nuclear plant services and more than 200 nuclear steam generators to customers around the world.
Babcock & Wilcox - Generation mPower (mPower) B&W has designed and manufactured nuclear power equipment for more than 40 years. Since the company’s main reactor design and engineering division was sold to AREVA (then Framatome) in the early 1990s, B&W has primarily been active in the commercial nuclear industry as only a component supplier, for items including steam generators and heavy forged components. However, in 2009, B&W announced its new mPower small reactor design.

Columbia Generating Station Washington State’s first and only commercial nuclear power plant is located along the Columbia River in the desert of southeast Washington, about 10 miles north of Richland. Columbia is a 1,250 MWe BWR plant.
Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant The Comanche Peak nuclear power plant is a two-unit nuclear-fueled power plant located four and a half miles northwest of Glen Rose in Somervell County and about 80 miles southwest of downtown Dallas. The plant is owned and operated by Luminant and has an operating capacity of 2,300 megawatts (two 1,150 MWe PWR units).

Connecticut Yankee Located in Haddam Neck, Connecticut, the Connecticut Yankee (CY) nuclear power plant began commercial operation in 1968 and produced more than 110 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity during its 28-year operating history. In 1996, the CY Board of Directors voted to permanently close and decommission the power plant. After two years of planning and preparation, actual decommissioning began in 1998 and was completed in 2007.
Consolidated Edison (Con Ed) ConEd owns and operates Indian Point 2 nuclear power plant located in northern Westchester County, New York.
Constellation Energy Group Constellation Energy Group is a holding company that includes a group of competitive energy businesses focused mostly on power marketing and merchant generation in North America, and the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), a regulated energy delivery company in Central Maryland.
Constellation Energy Nuclear Group (CENG) CENG, based in Baltimore, Maryland, is one of the U.S. premier nuclear power plant owners and operators, demonstrating that nuclear power is reliable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly. ConverDyn offers customers a fully integrated program for uranium sampling, UF6 conversion and materials storage that reduces order lead times.
Cook Energy Information Center The Cook Nuclear Plant is located on 650 acres along Lake Michigan's eastern shoreline. The plant is owned and operated by Indiana Michigan Power company, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Electric Power. Both units are pressurized water reactors. Unit 1 is rated at 1,020 megawatts. Unit 2 is rated at 1,090 megawatts.
Cooper Nuclear Station Cooper Nuclear Station, which has the largest single power generation unit in the state of Nebraska, has performed safely from its perch on the banks of the Missouri River near Brownville since July of 1974, when it was first put into operation.
Cotter Corporation Cotter Corporation is a General Atomics (GA) affiliate headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Originally incorporated in 1956 in New Mexico as a uranium production company, Cotter was purchased by and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Commonwealth Edison in 1975. GA acquired Cotter in early 2000. Through its various mining and milling operations, Cotter has produced uranium, vanadium, molybdenum, silver, lead, zinc, copper, selenium, nickel, cobalt, tungsten and limestone.
