Mega Uranium Ltd Mega Uranium Ltd., formerly Maple Minerals is a mining company with a focus on uranium. Since its incorporation, Mega has been engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of natural resource properties. Mesa Uranium Corp. Mesa Uranium's first priority is to drill targets adjacent to and on strike with the Lisbon Mine. The Lisbon Valley project is located in the Lisbon Valley Mining District, also known as the Big Indian Mining District, approximately 35 miles (56 kilometers) south of the town of Moab in San Juan County, Utah near the Colorado state line.

Nuinsco Resources Ltd. On the exploration front, Nuinsco has recently optioned a uranium property along the edge of the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Management believes this to be an exceptional prospect for discovery of an unconformity-related uranium deposit and as such, Nuinsco is expanding its land position. Work currently consists of line cutting and geophysical surveys over zones of strong clay and chlorite alteration and known graphitic conductors at the base of the unconformity. Diamond drilling will follow later in the year.

Finland

It is one of Finland's two nuclear power plants. The plant is operated by Teollisuuden Voima, a subsidiary of Pohjolan Voima. The Olkiluoto plant consists of two (BWRs with 860 MWe each. Unit 3, the first EPR (European Pressurized water Reactor) is under construction.

United States
Maine Public Service Company (MPSC) MPSC, which has exited the generation market, still maintains a 5% share of the Maine Yankee nuclear unit that has has permanently shut down and is now undergoing decommissioning.
Maine Yankee Maine Yankee, Maine's only nuclear power plant, is being dismantled and the plant site is being restored for another use. Located on Montsweag Bay in Wiscasset, Maine Yankee was the state's largest generator of electricity for 25 years. The plant was officially closed in August 1997.
