Argentina
Nucleoeléctrica Argentina Sociedad Anónima (NASA) Site in Spanish only. Embalse Nuclear Generating Station is a single-unit station owned and operated by Nucleoeléctrica Argentina Sociedad Anónima (NASA). It's one of two nuclear power stations in Argentina currently operational. Nuclear power provides about 8% of all electricity generated in Argentina.
Belgium
Electrabel S.A./N.V. [English] Belgium has two sites with nuclear power stations: Doel and Tihange. The first units there were commissioned in 1975. Between 1975 and 1985, their number was increased to four units at Doel and three at Tihange. Electrabel also participated in the power station of EDF in Chooz, just across the French border.
Tractebel [English] Tractebel is a global energy and services business. Its core business is electricity and gas, including the generation of electricity, trading, transport, distribution of electricity and gas, and sale of electricity. Electrabel is an operating unit of Tractebel.
Brazil
Eletrobrás Site in Portuguese only. [Some English] Eletrobras is a state-owned company that is part of the Sector of Electric Energy of Brazil.
Eletronuclear [English] ELETRONUCLEAR was established on August 1st, 1997 as a result of the merging of FURNAS Centrais Elétricas S.A.'s nuclear sector, which was responsible for Angra 1 operation and Angra 2 construction, with NUCLEN, the owner of Angra 2 and 3 technological project. Eletronuclear owns and operates the Angra Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2. Unit 3 is under construction.
Bulgaria
Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania J.S.C. (NEK) [English] NEK owns and operates the Kozloduy nuclear power plant. The total installed capacity of the six Units at Kozloduy is 3,760 MW. The first four Units are VVER-440 and Units 5 and 6 are VVER-1000.
Canada
Bruce Power Bruce Power is a partnership among British Energy, the UK's largest electricity generator, Cameco Corporation, the world's largest uranium fuel supplier and the two main unions representing employees on the Bruce site. Bruce Power has entered into a lease agreement with Ontario Power Generation to operate the Bruce A and B nuclear generating stations. There are eight Candu nuclear reactors on the site: four at Bruce A, commissioned between 1977 and 1979; and four at Bruce B, commissioned between 1984 and 1987.
CANDU Owners Group Inc. (COG) The CANDU Owners Group Inc. (COG) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing programs for cooperation, mutual assistance and exchange of information for the successful support, development, operation, maintenance and economics of CANDU technology.
Hydro-Québec [English] Hydro-Québec located in Québec, Canada, owns and operates the Gentilly-2 Nuclear Generating Station.
New Brunswick Power (NP Power) [English] NB Power operates the Point Lepreau Generating Station, a CANDU-6, with a net capacity of 635 MW. The station supplies up to 30% of NB Power's generation at a low cost and with a minimum impact on the environment.
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) OPG now supplies about 85% of all electricity consumed in Ontario. OPG safely and economically produces 8728 megawatts or over 40% of the province's electricity needs at its Darlington, and Pickering nuclear generation stations. OPG has a long-term lease with Bruce Power for the Bruce A & B nuclear generating facilities.

Through its subsidiary Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Co. Ltd., CLP owns 25% of the Guangdong Nuclear Power Station and is contracted to buy 70% of the annual output of the nuclear plant at Daya Bay.
China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) Site in Chinese only. Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Co. Ltd. (HKNIC) HKNIC is an investor in the Guangdong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company Limited (GNPJVC) which owns and operates the Guangdong Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station (GNPS) at Daya Bay, Guangdong Province in China. HKNIC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CLP Holdings.
Czech Republic
Czech Power Company CEZ, a.s. (CEZ) The joint-stock company CEZ is a Czech electricity company. It was founded on May 6, 1992 by the National Property fund of the Czech Republic as one of the new entities formed after the breakup of the former state-owned Czech Power Works. CEZ operates the Dukovany NPP and is constructing the Temelin NPP.
Finland

Teollisuuden Voima Oy (TVO) [English] Teollisuuden Voima Oy (TVO) is a private electric power company owned by Finnish industry and other power companies that supplies electricity to its shareholders at cost price. Olkiluoto 1 began electricity generation in 1978 and Olkiluoto 2 in 1980. The present net output of the plant units is 840 MW.
France

Hungary
Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd. [English] The Paks Nuclear Power Plant Company was founded in 1976 and has been operating as a share company since 1992. Its site, where four VVER-440/213 type units are operating with a total nominal power of 1860 MW (electrical), is located in the middle of Hungary, 5 km from the town of Paks. More than 40 percent of the electrical energy generated in Hungary is produced here.
India
Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) NPCIL is a wholly owned Enterprise of the Government of India under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The company is operating six nuclear power stations and is implementing construction of two ongoing nuclear power projects and handling other related activities consistent with the policies of the Government of India. The existing operating power stations of the Company are Tarapur Units 1&2, Rajasthan Units 2-4, Madras Units 1&2, Narora Units 1&2, Kakrapar Units 1&2, and Kaiga Units 1&2.
Japan
Chubu Electric Power Company (Chubu EPCo) [English] Established in 1951, Chubu EPCo supplies electricity to five prefectures in the Chubu region at the center of Japan. It is the third largest electric company in Japan, supplying 13% of the country's total population. Chubu EPCo owns and operates Hamoaka Generating Station, Unit 1 (515 MWe BWR), Unit 2 (806 MWe BWR), Unit 3 (1,056 MWe BWR), Unit 4 (1,092 MWe BWR) and is constructing Unit 5 (1,325 MWe BWR).
Chugoku Electric Power Company [English] The Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc., was established in 1951 as one of ten electric power companies in Japan. It supplies electricity to the Chugoku region of western Japan through an integrated structure that encompasses all stages of power supply, from generation through transmission and distribution. Chugoku operates the Shimane Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.
Electric Power Development Corporation (EPDC) [English] Launched in 1952, EPDC has upheld the economic development of Japan as a special-purpose corporation for the development and supply of electric power. Organized primarily under government funding, EPDC has supported the stable supply of electric power, serving the electric power companies of Japan as a wholesale electric utility. EPDC is planing the Ohma Nucear Power Station, a 1,383 MW ABWR unit.
Federation of Electric Power Companies (FEPC) [English] The FEPC represents Japan's ten electric power companies and was created to promote smooth opeations within the industy. The FEPC has played an important role as a base for communication between the power companies and as a forum for exchanging ideas on the evolution of the environment in the electricity industry.
Hokkaido Electric Power Company [English] Supplies electricity to more than three million customers throughout Hokkaido, the northernmost of the main islands in the Japanese archipelago. Hokkaido Electric Power Co. operates Tomari Units 1 (579 MWe PWR) and 2 (579 MWe PWR) and is planning Unit 3 (912 MWe PWR).
Hokuriku Electric Power Company [English] Hokuriku Electric Power Company, established on May 1, 1951, supplies electricity through integrated power generation, transmission and distribution systems as one of the 10 licensed electric utilities in Japan. Hokuriku operates Shika Unit 1, a 505 MW plant which began operation in 1993.
Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPC) [English] JAPC operates the Tokai II (1,100 MWe BWR), Tsuruga 1 (357 MWe BWR), and Tsuruga 2 (1,160 MWe BWR) nuclear reactors.

Korea, South
Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO) [English] KEPCO's fundamental responsibility as a public company benefiting the national economy and customers is the supply of sufficient and reliable electricity at low prices. KEPCO operates 16 nuclear units with 4 under construction. Operating units include Kori (Units 1-4, PWR), Ulchin (Units 1-6, PWR), Wolsong Units (1-4, PHWR), and Yonggwang (Units 1-6, PWR) nuclear power plants.
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) Site in only. [Some English] KHNP, inaugurated on April 2, 2001, is fully invested by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and supplies more than 40% of Korea’s electric power. KHNP has 535MW of hydro power and its nuclear power generation capacity of 13,716MW ranks Korea as the 6th largest among the nuclear power generating countries of the world. In year 2000, the total amount of nuclear power generated by us topped one trillion kWh.
Lithuania
Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant [English] The Ignalina nuclear power plant contains two RBMK-1500 water-cooled graphite-moderated channel-type power reactors. The RBMK-1500 reactor is the largest power reactor in the world. The thermal power output of one unit is 4800 MW, the electrical power capacity is 1500 MW. This site is one of the better reactor specific information sites.
Mexico
Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) Site in Spanish only. CFE generates, transmits, distributes and commercializes electrical energy for 18,68 million clients, which represents almost 80 million of Mexican. CFE operates Laguna Verde Units 1 and 2.
Netherlands
EPZ () Site in Dutch only. EPZ owns and operates the Brossele nuclear power plant, a 452 MWe PWR.
Pakistan
Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) PAEC is charged with the promotion of, and research work on the peaceful uses of atomic energy in the fields of agriculture, medicine and industry, as well as the execution of development projects involving nuclear power stations and the generation of electric power, and to perform such other functions relating to the peaceful uses of atomic energy as may be agreed to between the Commission and the government.
Romania
Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant [English] Operated by Centrala Nuclearo-Electrica (CNE) the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant has one operating 655 MWe CANDU unit with four other 620 MWe units planned. Unit 2 is under construction.
Nuclearelectrica SA [English] Established on July 2, 1998 the National Company "NUCLEARELECTRICA" S.A. (SNN SA) has, as main mission, the production of nuclear power, of nuclear fuel and the projects development at the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant site.
Russia
Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant The Leningrad nuclear power plant is located 80 km to the West of St. Petersburg, on the Southern coast of the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea. The site houses four 1000 MWe RBMK units. Units 1 and 2 (Phase I) are about 5 km to the South-West from the town of Sosnovy Bor. Units 3 and 4 (Phase II) are located a couple of kilometers further to the West.
Press Center of Nuclear Energy and Industry [English] This site provides comprehensive information about the Russian nuclear power sector.
Rosenergoatom Concern [English] “Rosenergoatom” concern is an operating organization of existing NPPs, NPPs under construction and NPPs led out of operation. The concern, in accordance with existing laws of Russian Federation, is also responsible for the support of nuclear and radiation safety of every phase of its operation. Nowadays, all 10 Russian NPPs (total capacity — 23242 MW) are the affililations of generating company Rosenergoatom. 31 power-generating units are operated by Russian NPPs. 15 of them are VVER (pressurized water-to-water energy reactors) power units. 9 units are VVER-1000 and 6 VVER-440. 15 of them are graphite-moderated channel reactors (11 RBMK-1000, 4 EGP-6) and 1 fast neutron reactor (BN-600).
WANO Moscow Centre () Site in Russian only. [Some English] The World Association of Nuclear Operators, which exploit the atomic power plants (VAO AES), unites all operators (here and throughout "operator" it indicates the organization, which exploits AES) OF AES of peace. It contributes to exchange of experience of operation so that its terms could work together for achievement of the highest level of safety and reliability with the operation of their AES.
Slovenia
Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) [English] Krsko is a 620 MWe PWR located in Vrbina Slovenia.
South Africa
Eskom Eskom is governed by the Electricity Council and a Management Board, established in terms of the Eskom Act of 1987. Eskom operates the Koeberg nuclear power station Units 1 and 2, located near Cape Town South Africa.
Spain
Centrales Nucleares Almaraz Trillo, AIE (CNAT) Site in Spanish only. [Some English] Centrales Nucleares Almaraz Trillo, AIE is a joint management of facilities allowing for commercial operation under the best competitive market conditions. Operations include the Almaraz and Trillo Nuclear Power Plants.
Endesa [English] Endesa is in the business of generating, transporting, and distributing electricity through a large number of companies in Spain, Latin America, Europe, and Africa, with a total of 36,538 MW installed, 148,619 GWh produced and 148,540 GWh distributed to 22 million customers. This includes 3,518 MW of nuclear power installed in Spain.
ENUSA Industrias Avanzadas, S.A. (ENUSA) Site in only. [Some English] ENUSA is engaged in activities related to the first part of the nuclear fuel cycle. These consist fundamentally of: Management of enriched uranium supplies for Spanish nuclear power plants, Production of uranium concentrates - a residual production activity complementary to the closing-down works of its Mining Centre at Saelices-Ciudad Rodrigo (Salamanca), Manufacture of PWR and BWR fuel elements, as well as the engineering associated to this activity, and other services related to nuclear power stations. At present, ENUSA has direct supply contracts with the nuclear power stations of Almaraz I and II, Ascó I and II, Vandellós II and José Cabrera (Zorita).
Iberdrola S.A. [English] With assets of over Pta2.6tr, over 8 million customers in Spain and almost 5 million in Latin America, we are one of Europe's leading electricity Companies. Iderdrola owns all or portions of the Cofrentes, Almaraz 1 and 2, Trillo 1, Vandellos 2, Asco 2I, and Santa Maria de Garona nuclear power units.
Unión Fenosa Group (UEF) [English] Using its initial lines of business - electric power generation and distribution - as a springboard, Union Fenosa is growing in new directions, applying the capabilities of its physical assets and infrastructures to new uses and, in particular, drawing value from the expertise of its people and its own organisational flexibility. Union Fenosa owns all or portions of the Jose Cabrera, Almaraz 1 and 2, and Trillo 1 nuclear power units.
Sweden
OKG Aktiebolag Site in Swedish only. [Some English] OKG owns Oskarshamn Units 1-3 which, together, account for more than 10 per cent of the total electricity generated in Sweden. OKG is also responsible for operating CLAB, the interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel from all the nuclear power plants in Sweden.
Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company (SKB) [English] Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) was formed jointly by the four Swedish utilities: Vattenfall AB, Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB, OKG, and Aktiebolag. SKB is responsible for dealing with the management and disposal of radioactive waste generated from these facilities.
Sydkraft AB Site in Swedish only. [Some English] Sydkraft is a national and international supplier of electricity. As a result of the acquisition of Örebro Energi and the formation of sales subsidiaries in locations such as Lidingö near Stockholm and Sundsvall and Söderhamn in northern Sweden, Sydkraft has now acquired crucial national strongholds. Sydkraft is a subsidiary of the German energy company E.ON Energie since May, 2001.
Vattenfall AB [English] Vattenfall supplies energy to millions of business and household customers across Europe and the Nordic region. They offer a broad range of products and services, spanning gas, electricity, electricity net and grid operations, heating, entrepreneurial services, consulting, administrative support, telephony and IT services. Vattenfall operates the Barsbäck, Forsmark Units 1-3 and Ringhals Units 1-4 nuclear power stations. Vattenfall also has particial ownership in the Brokdorf, Brunsbüttel, Krümmel, and Stade nuclear power plants located in Germany.
Switzerland
BKW FMB Energie AG Site in German and French only. [Some English] BKW FMB owns and opeates the Mühleberg nuclear power station.
Gösgen Nuclear Power Station (KKG) Site in German and French only. The Gösgen nuclear power station is a 970 MWe PWR.
Leibstadt Nuclear Power Station (KKL) Site in German and French only. The Lebstadt nuclear power station is a 1,145 MWe BWR.
Nordostschweizerische Kraftwerke (NOK) Site in German only. [Some English] The Nordostschweizerische Kraftwerke (NOK) is a joint stock company of the cantons of Northeast Switzerland. NOK owns and operates the Beznau Nuclear Power Plant.

Taiwan

Ukraine
Energorisk, Ltd. [English] Energorisk, Ltd. is a Ukrainian private engineering company, providing services on nuclear power plant safety analysis, risk assessment, operation support and design works, and associated technical review activities. It was created in 1992 and became one of the first companies in Ukraine that obtained a license for safety-related engineering works for nuclear facilities.

Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine is the successor of the Ministry of coal industry of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the State Department of power industry of Ukraine, the State Department of petroleum, gas, oil-refining industries of Ukraine and the State Department of nuclear power of Ukraine.

British Nuclear Fuels plc (BNFL) BNFL manufactures fuel and provides reactor services and has electricity generation and spent fuel management capabilities. BNFL is at the leading edge in the decommissioning of nuclear power and process plants and we are cleaning up the legacy of the Cold War. The recent acquisitions of the nuclear businesses of Westinghouse and ABB have propelled us from a UK-based business into a global company in just two years. BFNL operates the Bradwell 1&2, Calder Hall 1-4, Chapelcross 1-4, Dungeness A1 & A2, Oldbery 1&2, Sizewell A1 & A2, and Wylfa 1&2 nuclear power stations.

United States
Alabama Power Alabama Power, a subsidary of the Southern Company, owns the Joseph M. Farly Nuclear Electric Generating Plant. This plant has two 860 MWe PWRs.
Alliant Energy Alliant Energy owns the portions of the Duane Arnold and Kewaunee nuclear power plants. These plants are now operated by the Nuclear Management Company LLC (NMC).
