UxC announces the release of a comprehensive report on India in its series on The Changing Geopolitics of the Nuclear Energy Market.
At 120+ pages, this report provides a detailed review of India's current and prospective nuclear power program, and nuclear's place
in India's overall energy picture. The report examines both India's indigenous reactor program and its plans to import reactors.
The role of advanced fuel cycles in India, including planned use of thorium, is detailed. In addition, UxC presents its proprietary
forecasts for high, base, and low case nuclear power growth scenarios through 2030, examining the potential outcomes for India's
nuclear expansion plans. These scenarios are also used to present India's potential requirements for nuclear fuel as well as its
reactor market size. For additional information please see our flier and
table of contents.
UxC announces the publication of a new, comprehensive report analyzing the entire global
Nuclear Industry Value Chain (NIVC).
The nuclear industry has come out of an era of slow decline and is seeing a rebirth in many parts of the world.
There are numerous reasons for the growth of nuclear power, and now is the time to assess the prospects and future
course of each of the market sectors in this growing, worldwide industry. The NIVC report includes coverage of all
sectors in the nuclear industry, including the front-end fuel markets, the broader reactor sector, as well as the
back-end of the fuel cycle. There is no publicly distributed report currently available that provides such
comprehensive coverage of the growing global nuclear marketplace. Combining UxC's decades of experience and
knowledge of the nuclear industry, this report provides detailed information and practical analysis for
anyone considering entry or expansion in this dynamic market.
In November 2008, UxC released the
"Nuclear-Grade Zirconium Alloy Market Outlook" report where we offers analysis and
opinions of the various sectors that make up the nuclear-grade zirconium sponge, alloy, materials, and tubing
markets. Details are included on the interplay of the nuclear fuel fabrication and the zirconium alloy supply markets.
We identify major trends in this unique industry by analyzing the global, regional, and selected country supply and
demand balances for nuclear-grade zirconium alloy and tubing. The report concludes with with some observations on this
global market as well as expectations for future price developments.
A table of contents and
flier have been provided for your review.
Second Quarter (Q2 2009) UxC Uranium Market Outlook examines the role of the long-term uranium price.
The long-term uranium price has risen to prominence this decade, especially after UxC started publishing its long-term price in 2004.
However, in many ways it is a misunderstood and perhaps even misused price. In this comprehensive essay,
UxC recounts its history and intent of publishing a long-term uranium price, discusses what this price really
represents from both practical and theoretic standpoints, and comments on its appropriateness (or inappropriateness)
as a price reference in long-term uranium contracts.
The UMO series now contains uranium demand forecasts based on UxC's proprietary Uranium Requirements Model (URM). Based on the input from these projections,
which reflect changed prospects for nuclear power, as well as recent developments on the supply side and other factors, an updated price projection
is presented.
UxC has issued its second quarter Q2 2009 Nuclear Power Outlook report,
which includes a detailed essay analyzing the prospects for nuclear energy development in the Middle East.
Although the Middle East currently has no operational reactors, the NPO tracks nuclear power developments in 13
countries in this critical region every quarter. This in-depth essay examines the many rationales for reactors in
the Middle East as well as the various challenges that face individual countries' nuclear power ambitions.
The question of nuclear power in countries in the Middle East mirrors those of many other countries around
the world, but there are also unique aspects to this region that deserve special attention. This analysis
concludes with results from UxC's proprietary forecasts for nuclear reactor deployment in the Middle East by 2030.
Uranium Suppliers Annual - 2008
Sometimes referred to as "The Uranium Bible", the Uranium Suppliers Annual contains comprehensive data and
information on all of the world's uranium suppliers, including detailed sections on planned producers and
junior/exploration companies.
Whether you are a utility, producer, trader, or investor, the Uranium Suppliers Annual provides the
basis for understanding potential future developments surrounding the availability of supply, particularly
since uranium production has continued to be sub-par against a backdrop of growing demand. In light
of the increasing volatile nature of the uranium market, primary and potential suppliers are continuously
re-evaluating their properties and future production plans, as well as expanding exploration programs where
economically feasible.
August 2008 Addendum Report to UxC's NRTA - The Ux Consulting Company (UxC) is pleased to announce the availability of a special report on
Nuclear Reactor Technology Assessments. This in-depth study provides nuclear reactor technology
assessments and overall evaluations of the major reactor designs currently available in the world.
The decision of which reactor design to pursue is an extremely important one and must be based on many
factors, such as the robustness of the technology, the constructability of the plant, the plant
economics - both initial and operating, the type of fuel used, the ability to license and regulate,
among a variety of other considerations.
In August 2008, UxC issued an addendum to the our Nuclear Reactor Technology Assessments (NRTA),
which provides additional substantial information and analysis to support the initial report findings.
The addendum table of contents is available for download.

How are uranium prices determined?
This is one of the questions UxC is often asked. We have developed a brief
overview to discuss this question.
