|Atomic Energy Research Institute (AEKI) AEKI is a research institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences mainly active in the field of basic and applied research related to nuclear energy. Their main research areas are reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, fuel behavior studies, material sciences, related aspects of informatics (simulators, core monitoring, etc), health physics, environmental investigations, nuclear electronics, and chemistry.|
|Budapest University – Institute of Nuclear Techniques [English] The Institute of Nuclear Techniques (INT) of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The Institute constitutes of two units: the Department of Nuclear Techniques organizes the educational tasks of the Institute, whereas the Training Reactor Laboratory operates the Nuclear Training Reactor. However, every member of the academic staff of the Institute has his/her own tasks as well in the education and training as in the reactor operation.|
|Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority (HAEC) [English] In the field of the peaceful application of atomic energy, the HAEA is a central public administration organization with a general scope of authority with its own tasks and regulatory competence directed by the government. HAEA both regulates certain activities (in particular licensing of nuclear facilities) and coordinates the regulation of other activities by ministries and administrative bodies.

(VEIKI) [English] The activity of the VEIKI Nuclear Engineering Division is concentrated on safety evaluation of VVER-type nuclear power plants, as well as on development of methods and procedures necessary probabilistic safety assessments and severe accident analyses. |
|Mecsekérc Környezetvédelmi Részvénytársaság Site in Hungarian only. [Some English] The exclusively founded MECSEKÉRC Environmental Protection Public Limited Company was established through the transformation of the Mecsek Ore Mining Company as its legal successor in 1998.|
|Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd. Site in Hungarian only. [Some English] The Paks Nuclear Power Plant Company was founded in 1976 and has been operating as a share company since 1992. Its site, where four VVER-440/213 type units are operating with a total nominal power of 1860 MW (electrical), is located in the middle of Hungary, five kilometers from the town of Paks. More than 40% of the electrical energy generated in Hungary is produced here. |
